Summer Science Camps: Creek Camps for ages 8-12, Session 1

Join Jonny and Camille for Creek Camp at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park this summer!  In this day camp (9:00 am-3:00 pm) kids will enjoy hiking and exploring the trails of Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, including splashing around in the creek in the afternoon.  Campers will learn about local plants, animals, and the indigenous Wappo, Coast Miwok, and Southern Pomo peoples who have called Sugarloaf Ridge State Park home for generations. Each day includes a balance of games, hiking, and storytelling, all facilitated by Sonoma Ecology Center’s year-round, seasoned Environmental Educators. Creek Camp is a wonderful opportunity for your child to unwind, recharge, and learn this summer without the distractions of screen time. Each summer, kids leave Creek Camp having made new friendships and with a deeper connection with nature.

¡Únete a Jonny y Camille en el Campamento en el arroyo en Sugarloaf Ridge State Park este verano! En este campamento de día, participantes disfrutarán de caminatas y explorarán los senderos de Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, incluyendo meterse al arroyo en la tarde. Los participantes aprenderán acerca de la flora y fauna local, al igual que de la gente indígena Wappo, Coast Miwok, y Southern Pomo, quienes han llamado a Sugarloaf  hogar por generaciones. Cada día incluye un balance de juegos, excursiones, y contar cuentos, todo facilitado por los Educadores ambientales de Sonoma Ecology Center. El Campamento en el arroyo es una oportunidad maravillosa para que tu(s) hijo/a(s) se relaje, recargue, y aprenda este verano sin la distracción de pantallas.
