Volunteering at Sugarloaf

Volunteers play a vital role at Sugarloaf! Become a regular volunteer and enjoy the beauty of this amazing land while joining our wonderful community of voluneteers.

We have a host of volunteer opportunities to restore and maintain this natural treasure and to help to keep Sugarloaf open to the public!

Volunteering is fun and healthy – and you can make a difference. It’s easy to get started, too; we provide training for our volunteers to ensure you are comfortable and can make a difference on your first day.

We especially seek regular volunteers. If you have 2 to 20 hours per week, we could use your help! Some volunteer options include:

  • Working in the Visitor Center
  • Working in the Entry Kiosk
  • Trail improvement
  • Construction & maintenance projects (e.g. painting, signage)
  • Special events
  • Restoration projects
  • Grant writing to develop park and other restoration projects
  • Marketing and event communications

If you want to help us in our efforts to keep Sugarloaf open and accessible for all to enjoy, please contact Sugarloaf Park Assistant Manager, Melissa Roberts at melissa@sonomaecologycenter.org
